Secure payment

What is 3-D Secure?

The payment of your order on the site can be made in particular by credit card (CB, Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro) and by Paypal.

Butticé has chosen a 3-D Secure online payment interface. Deployed under the trade names Verified By Visa and MasterCard SecureCode, 3-D Secure was developed by Visa and Mastercard to enable merchants to limit the risk of Internet fraud linked to identity theft attempts. It consists in ensuring, during each online payment, that the card is used by its real holder. This service protects your current account against unauthorized use of your card when you shop online.

To ensure that you can order securely, your card data will be encrypted to reduce any risk of unauthorized access. Once your order has been placed, we will request a credit card pre-authorization to make sure you have sufficient funds to complete the transaction. The corresponding amount will be debited from your card when the products which are the subject of your order leave our warehouse.

By clicking on "Pay by credit card", you confirm that the credit card belongs to you. Credit cards are subject to validity checks and authorization from the card issuing body. If we do not receive the required payment authorization, we will not be liable for the delay or failure to deliver the products and we will not be able to enter into a Contract with you.

In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.

3-D Secure is called "Verified by Visa" at Visa, and "Master Card Secure Code" at MasterCard. This is an interbank protocol that offers an additional level of security for e-commerce transactions carried out on-line. It consists in asking the Internet user, in addition to his bank card number and visual cryptogram, for information independent of the card and only known to him. This additional authentication ensures total security of the transaction and limits the risk of fraud.

In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.

To allow you to shop safely, we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Your personal data is therefore encrypted before being transmitted to us. The code "https" instead of the usual "http" or a padlock in the address bar indicates that you are in encrypted mode.
